Stress is associated with the adoption of certain behaviors and choices in everyday life, such as diet, quality of sleep, alcohol consumption, smoking, and other abusive behaviors, as well as relationships with others. The lack of an ideal routine and a health way of life disturbs homeostasis, causing numerous disorders, which include some of the main causes of death in modern societies; such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity etc. People who experience high levels of stress, adopt those behaviors, in order to control stress. However, the results are exactly the opposite, and health is negatively affected. A vicious circle is formed among stress, behavior and health.
